How to Dribble in Project Egoist
Safe touches first. Highlight reels second.
Dribbling here is a cooldown puzzle. Q is the safe dash with i-frames. R is the greedy burst without them. Space chains headers and flicks to keep speed. E is a steal when you do not have the ball and a mistake when you do. If you treat every approach like a cutscene, a slide will take the ball and your dignity.
The safe carry
Hold the ball, face the gap, tap Q when a defender commits. The dribble dash carries you through a late tackle and puts them on cooldown. You get about 3.5 seconds before Q is back. That is enough to take a second touch, pass, or shoot. It is not enough to Q through an entire team. Controls lists the bind if you rebound it.
If nobody is committing, do not Q into space for fun. Save the i-frames for the slide you can see.
Header chains and Super Dash
Space plus a well-timed movement pops a header or flick that keeps the ball moving upfield. Mix that with Super Dash when the lane is empty. Super Dash will not save you from a tackle. Use it after a win, not as the win. Launch-era videos show this Azure Latch-style chain; it still works if you stop mid-chain when two kits pinch.
Request (T) exists because a teammate can hit you in stride. Ego does not mean you must beat five people if a pass makes it two.
Style dribbles
Sae Magic Turn is the best dedicated dribble skill in the launch set: spin, i-frames, sometimes two charges. Kaiser Blitz is a zigzag, not a carry god mode. Isagi Off-Ball Movement is a dash that works without the ball. Nagi Fake Volley is a feint that knocks people and i-frames. Rin and Shidou add later mobility that the tier list treats as a big part of their rank. Read the Style page before you spend Z on a shot you thought was a dribble.
Stealing is the other half
When you do not have the ball, E is the slide. Five seconds if you miss. Slide from the side, not from behind a Super Dash you cannot catch. Nagi Control and some Flow variants steal without a slide. That is kit knowledge, not a hidden universal button.
Do not slide in your own box as a habit. A whiff is a tap-in.
Common deaths
Sprint-locked into a keeper. Q on cooldown, R into a crowd. Emote after a nutmeg. Flow awaken in your own half with no V plan. All of these are dribble problems even when they look like shot problems. How to score starts when the carry is already good.
Scripts that auto-dribble exist on the scripts hub. They skip this page and they risk the account. If you are here to play, stay here.
Practice in a low-pop server: Q a mannequin slide, chain two Spaces, R once, pass. Then add a Style skill. The getting started video shows the chain in real time if you want a picture before you queue.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best dribble button in Project Egoist?
Q. It has i-frames. Super Dash does not. Style skills are extras on top of that habit.
How do I keep speed up the field?
Mix Space headers or flicks with a Super Dash in an empty lane, then Q when someone slides.
Should I slide while I have the ball?
No. E is a steal tool. Sliding with the ball is how you gift a counter.
Which Style dribbles best for beginners?
Sae if you roll him. Isagi Off-Ball is enough to learn. See the beginner tier list for the short rank.
